Terrace roof with PV = electricity + sun protection
So, have you already been hit by the strong spring sun? Sunburn is unpleasant and can quickly spoil your enjoyment of the beautiful weather. Why not let your canopy roof soak up the full power of the sun and enjoy your time outside protected by the transparent photovoltaic modules from ertex solar? The built-in solar cells provide pleasant shade and the integrated PVB film also acts as a UV blocker. But won’t it be very dark underneath? No! This is because we customise the cell configuration according to your wishes – you decide how translucent you want your roofing to be. In this way, you protect your skin and at the same time generate environmentally friendly electricity using solar energy.
In the project shown above, the customer also enjoys another advantage. He has decided to give his car a shady spot as well and can therefore look forward to pleasant temperatures when setting off on his next adventure.

Coloured modules
Are you thinking of equipping a façade or railing with photovoltaic modules, but the classic panels don’t meet your visual expectations? No problem! Make your solar life colourful with our coloured PV modules. What sounds like magic is actually quite simple. Our products are built up as follows: Front glass – 0.76 mm PVB film – cell net – 0.76 mm PVB film – rear glass. If a coloured print is applied to the front glass, the cell connectors are coloured black and the back glass is completely covered with black enamel, the installed cells almost completely disappear in the finished module. The black background is important here, as the cells themselves are black and for the colour to really come into its own. We have 7 basic colours in our standard repertoire: anthracite/dark grey, grey, light grey, blue, green, terracotta and gold. However, we can of course also try to match your desired colour as closely as possible during a sampling process. Customised patterns, logos, etc. are also possible. All our modules can optionally be manufactured with a satinated front glass to minimise any glare effects.
It should be noted that any printing in front of the cells causes a certain loss of performance. This loss is different for each colour shade. In general, the darker the colour, the better the performance. Fancy pretty in black? Our black modules do not require full-surface printing on the front glass, only a black edge enamel to cover the cross connectors. The performance therefore remains the same as with the transparent modules.
By the way: Our rear junction box is often chosen for façade installations, while the side junction box is particularly recommended for railing constructions.
