PV-modules on top of the Zugspitze

Looking at these pictures, this was the time when the highest photovoltaic system in Germany was being built. Today the PV system, which was integrated into numerous parts of the building is producing sustainable energy every day at a height of 2.962 meters. Here you can enjoy the stunning view of the panorama in real time!

We have one question for you: Are you able to spot the building integrated photovoltaic system?

If you are looking for an activity to enjoy these golden autumn days to the fullest, we can recommend the Zugspitze. Trained hikers can follow the path up to the top which takes around 7 to 8 hours. If you aren’t the most experienced hiker there is also the possibility of going to the top by tram or by cog railway to get to the stunning view. But be careful: Even though in the valley it might be 20°C, the temperature is only about 2-3°C on the top!
