OPENING OF THE ENERGY WAVE
Redesigning the forecourt of the municipality Wiener Neudorf
“To the time its wave – to the wave its time
High technology meets solar energy. Computer-aided 3D design, automated laser cutting, curved solar panels, colour-changing LED light panels. The energy wave summarizes municipal functions of modern mobility and therefore is a dynamic symbol of our time. The curved forms are reminiscent of trees and show what is possible when the client, architect and contractor all pull together.”
This quote from the architect Ralph Sobetz describes the project of the energy wave excellently. The forecourt of the municipal office in Wiener Neudorf shines in new splendor since the sixth of December – partly also thanks to ertex solar. According to the requirements, the architects from kosaplaner were to design a square with green areas, enough parking spaces, a bus shelter, bicycle parking, an e-charging station, and a booth for books.
In addition to the other requirements, the finished forecourt is now adorned by the so-called energy wave, which shines in various colours such as red, blue or green thanks to built-in LED lamps. The name comes from the photovoltaic system with which the steel construction is covered. The glazing consists of 42 bent laminated safety glass photovoltaic modules with an output of 10.4 kWp.
